As our work is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research we had the chance to give a presentation of our ongoing work at a status meeting of the ministry in Bonn last week. It was a really interesting two day meeting because many other sponsored projects were invited, too.
Due to the fact that our Mobile-Sandbox attracted a lot of attention there were many interesting discussions afterwards. Let’s see how these discussions will influence the further development of the system.
We also had the chance to present our forensic framework – ADEL – in a poster session. The presented poster can be viewed here:
We will give a presentation on Android forensics, our new tools (ADEL & Panoptes) and mobile malware on this years SPRING in Bochum at the 21st of March. The presentation slides will be available afterwards on the conference website.
See you all in Bochum!
Within the scope of the project “MobWorm”, which is funded by the BMBF, the Ruhr University, GData, Zynamics and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg work together in the development of effective and protective measures against malicious software for mobile devices. Among the 50 project proposals submitted in accordance with the BMBF’s invitation landed “MobWorm” among the 7 best collaborative projects. I will work as a part of the University of Mannheim within this project for the next 2 years. So stay tuned for updates!
